Welcome to the New Refuturing Website

Welcome to the new website!
Given the current chaos in the Wordpress ecosystem (thanks, Matt), I've been thinking about switching platforms for the Refuturing website for about a year now. I've also wanted to (finally!) get a regular newsletter off the ground. Put those two things together, and the possible range of web publishing platforms begins to come into focus.
Substack is the Nazi Bar now, so that was absolutely out of the question. So it came down to a choice between Beehiiv, Buttondown, or Ghost. And since I wanted to play with a range of publishing options on the same site, Ghost ended up being the best choice.
So what to expect?
First, there will be a weekly newsletter on trends and drivers, along with a few personal and company updates, under the Bad Futures newsletter. You can find the subscription box at the bottom of this post, and I hope you'll subscribe!
Second, I want to use this site as a chance to do some regular blogging, which will be content that is NOT included in the newsletter. The best way to follow that content is through your trusty RSS reader. I'll also be working to setup a weekly summary newsletter for those posts.
Third, I want to experiment with creating some content that you will have to subscribe to Bad Futures in email form to receive, and which will not show up in the web versions of the newsletter. Similarly, I want to make some of my writing and thinking available only through RSS, so you'll need to follow along there to get the Sekrit Kontent. The webs should be fun, and I'm hoping the affordances of Ghost as a platform will help enable that for me and for you.
Finally, those of you who have worked with Refuturing before or who have followed along with our journey over the past five years will notice that the logo has been updated. More about that to come, but our Haunted Astronaut at the top of this post is a key part of that branding change. You'll also see that image with our Bad Futures logo as well.
So welcome to the new website. Here's to being comfortable with being uncomfortable!
